THE MISSION
Space Forces Indo-Pacific needs a SATCOM specialist who can architect the communications backbone for Joint Force operations. You'll develop comprehensive satellite communication architectures that integrate military and commercial assets across the Indo-Pacific theater. Your expertise directly enables mission success by ensuring resilient, secure, and effective satellite communications that support both operational and strategic objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Develop and maintain comprehensive SATCOM architecture site pictures for blue forces throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility
Integrate both MILSAT and COMSAT assets into unified communication frameworks
Collaborate with USINDOPACOM SATCOM office, service component staffs, Space Command, S4S, CSpOC, DISA, and Regional SATCOM Support Centers
Assess and validate theater-wide SATCOM requirements against operational demands
Coordinate with cyber operations staff on SATCOM cybersecurity and defensive measures
Conduct technical analysis on emerging SATCOM technologies and commercial capabilities
Develop forward-looking recommendations for procurement and integration of new SATCOM capabilities
Prepare and present findings, briefings, and decision papers to senior leadership
Continuously update architectural overviews to reflect new capabilities and changing operational environments

Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
3+ years of satellite communications planning, coordination, or system management experience
In-depth technical knowledge of MILSAT and COMSAT systems, architecture principles, and component capabilities
Proven ability to analyze operational requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Active security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one
Experience in military, government, or high-security commercial environments
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline
Prior experience with USINDOPACOM or Indo-Pacific defense planning
Familiarity with Blue Force Tracking and architecture tools
Experience briefing senior leadership on technical communications issues
Knowledge of emerging satellite communication trends and commercial SATCOM markets
Background in cyber-physical resilience and SATCOM cybersecurity
