Overview
Lead mission-critical communications architecture for the Joint Task Force. Design and optimize secure networks that keep our forces connected when it matters most. You'll be the technical authority on Communications Network, Mission Management Environment, and Secure Enclave systems that directly support joint operations. THE MISSION
As the Communications Network SME, you're the technical backbone of the Joint Task Force Headquarters Element. You'll architect, implement, and optimize the secure communications systems that keep our joint forces connected across the globe. This isn't just network engineering; it's mission-critical infrastructure that directly impacts operational success. You'll provide sustained development and architectural guidance for the Joint Force Network while coordinating with forward-deployed teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead design and implementation of robust CN, MME, and SEME architectures supporting the Joint Force Network
Develop secure communication protocols and policies for mission-critical network environments
Integrate complex systems across IT, intelligence, and operational teams for seamless data flow
Provide expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical network incidents
Ensure cybersecurity compliance through vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and safeguard implementation
Drive strategic planning for technology roadmaps and operational strategies
Bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex solutions into actionable guidance
Develop and deliver training on system capabilities and emerging technologies
Salary range
$114,000 - $135,000 per year plus benefits
Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field
5+ years of recent experience in communications network engineering or secure enclave management at enterprise scale
Proven expertise in designing, integrating, and managing complex secure network infrastructures
Deep knowledge of networking protocols and secure communications standards (TLS, IPSec)
Enterprise-grade cybersecurity principles and implementation experience
Strong technical policy and documentation development capabilities
Expert-level analytical, troubleshooting, and incident management skills
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree or specialized certifications (CISSP, CCNP Security, CISA, GIAC Security Leadership)
Experience supporting mission-critical communications in defense, intelligence, or government settings
Familiarity with classified or highly regulated environments and secure enclave technologies
Strategic planning and technology roadmapping experience on large-scale IT projects
Training or mentoring experience in technical domains
